67 Photos To Inspire Your Trip To Puglia, Italy

If you’re looking for somewhere gorgeous to visit for a long weekend, put Puglia on your bucket list. 🙂 It’s whitewashed hill towns, rustic farmhouses and picturesque coastline make it one of the most beautiful  regions of Italy.

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I recently flew over there for a short but very sweet weekend in the sun with my cousin Grace.

We took books with us as we intended to spend our time relaxing at the hotel and reading, but there were so many beautiful towns to visit that we didn’t read a page.

My no.1 tip would be to rent a car, so you have the flexibility to explore all the gorgeous neighbouring towns and villages. We had 2.5 days there and we squeezed in Cisternino, Ostuni, Martina, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare and of coure Alberbello (a must!). Our favourites were definitely Ostuni & Monopoli.

(Nearest airports are Bari & Brindisi).

Have fun! 🙂

    1. Hey Christie. Thank you! I would definitely recommend hiring a car otherwise you will find it hard to get between the towns. You could look at public transport but I didn’t see any buses or anything when I was there and having a car means you have complete independence. The roads were great! Not tiny at all and def not scary – there were hardly any cars on the countryside roads actually. In terms of time, if you have longer than a weekend it would be great to spend at least an extra few nights in Puglia – there were towns that we didn’t get to see because we just didn’t have the time. I would say a weekend is the minimum time needed. It’s a beautiful part of the world so spend as long as you can there!! X Enjoy x
